The gym area may be rented for basketball or volleyball by going online or stopping by the Lee County Parks and Recreation office 72 hours in advance by 5pm. All fees must be paid upfront to secure the reservation. We Do Not Accept American Express! The Bob Hales Center can also be reserved for either basketball or volleyball birthday parties. A reservation is not made official until the Lee County Parks and Recreation Department has received a completed Rental Agreement and all fees associated with the rental. No date is reserved until confirmation is given by LCPRD.
Inclement Weather Procedure
If a facility cannot be used during the original rental time, due to inclement weather, the renter will be allowed to choose another available date/time. If date/time is not available, or needed, a full credit/refund will be given. This policy only pertains to actual inclement weather conditions, not a perceived threat of inclement weather. LCPR reserves the right to cancel any event due to unsafe weather conditions without notice.
Rules and Regulations
• All rentals must be made 3 business days prior to the rental date by 5pm.
• A 2-hour minimum is required for all rentals.
• Rentals and additional fees shall be requested in full hour amounts. Rates will not be divided for ½ increments.
• Person named on contract must remain on site for the whole event or event will be shut down
• Admission charges, sales, donations and other profit-making activities are prohibited. Park facilities are open for the benefit of the public, and are not intended to be used for private, for-profit enterprises. Conducting or soliciting of any business, trade, or occupation, including the sale of food, refreshments, or merchandise, the taking of photographs and motion pictures for commercial use, and providing classes or lessons at a charge to participants or for the purpose of promoting a commercial enterprise is prohibited unless a Commercial Use Permit application is approved by the Parks and Recreation Director.
• All posted gym rules must be followed at all times.
• No alcohol, drugs, fireworks, or weapons on premises.
• No decorations can be taped, tacked, or stapled to any part of the facility.
• Setup and cleanup must be included in rental times. All trash must be placed in the proper receptacles.
• Any outside vendors, must provide the Lee County Government with proof of Commercial General Liability Insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence.
• Absolutely no dunking or hanging on the rim.
• Renter is responsible for any damages to the facilities or equipment that occurs during use.
• LCPR, employees, and representatives are not responsible for injury or loss as a result of rental.
• Gym supervisor has the authority to clear the gym if necessary and no monies will be refunded
• All rental terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
Refund Policy
1. Full refunds or credits will be granted when reservations are cancelled 21 workdays or more in advance from the original rental date.
2. Half refunds or credits will be granted for cancellations 14-20 workdays in advance from the original rental date.
3. No refunds or credits will be granted for reservations made or canceled less than 14 workdays in advance from the original rental date.
4. Exception to cancellation restriction will be made for adverse weather or an act of God. If this occurs, the renter must contact the Parks & Recreation Office on the first workday after the scheduled event. If paid by Credit/Debit Card expect it back to your account in 3-5 workdays, if paid by Cash or Check it could take up to 4 weeks to receive your check in the mail. In paying, “I, the renter, fully understand that I will be held liable for any injury to any person or damage to any park property, county equipment and/or personal property during the period I use the facility. I also agree to follow all rules enforced by Lee County Parks & Recreation and understand that failure to cooperate will result in clearing of the facility, with No refund of monies. I have received and understand the policies/terms and conditions.”
